India - Summer of 2008
This summer, Tim and Lisa, along with two other CEF co-workers, traveled to India to work with national CEF workers, Jacob and G. Christopher. They spent three weeks working in New Delhi (northern India), and three weeks in Trivandrum (near the southwewestern point of India).
Gracious people, heat, honking car horns, meandering cows, antiquity, modern conveniences, bicycle rickshaws, auto rickshaws, motor scooters, motorcycles, beautiful saris and sulwur suits, children, poverty, richness, Hindu temples & Muslim mosques. These words all describe things in India! We spent an exciting and rewarding, yet challenging, six weeks in India this summer. The one thing we’ll always cherish are our faithful Indian Child Evangelism Fellowship® (CEF®) workers and their burden for the 450 million children of this country.
A big THANK YOU to those of you who gave to our India Project! The Lord provided all the money we needed to cover our expenses for this trip and we praise Him! Also, we want to express our THANKS for your prayers! We could tell that much prayer was going to the throne of grace on our behalf. We did not experience any bad health issues, the Lord kept us safe, the travel was fairly easy (for the most part), we had unity as a teaching team and the students were receptive and wonderful!
Prayer Concerns and Praises
Pray for India Children’s Ministries Institute® (CMI®) & IOT Training
Praise God for the 57 individuals trained this summer. Pray for them as they print materials and plan for the TCE courses to be launched in January.
Pray for thousands of individuals to be trained so millions of children will be reached. There are 450 million children in India!
Praise God for over $6,000.00 that was given for our India trip.
Thank you for praying! God did amazing things.
